A while ago, a leak revealed the upcoming smartphones from the Xiaomi, where the Redmi 6 and 6A were also included. And finally, the devices are launched. Both devices are the successor of the last year’s Redmi 5. Both devices come with MediaTek’s Helio Processor and other stuff, as usual. Nevertheless, let’s talk about the Xiaomi Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A price, specification, and features.

Both devices come with the same 5.45-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Actually, Xiaomi held an event to launch the device in China. Both devices will go on sale from 15 June in China. However, there was no word of its availability outside of China. But, we still hope to see it with a different name, like Redmi S2 in China and Redmi Y2 in India.

The new Xiaomi Redmi 6, 6A offers more improved performance and dual-rear cameras. Both devices run on the Android 8.1 (Oreo), skinned MIUI 9 on the top. Both devices have the similar screen resolution of 720X1440 pixels. There is a non-removable Li-Ion 3000mAh battery but no fast charging technology.

The Xiaomi Redmi 6A includes MediaTek Helio A22 Quad-Core Cortex -A53 CPU clocked at 2.0 GHz, whereas the Xiaomi Redmi 6 has MediaTek Helio P22, Octa-core Cortex-A53 clocked at 2.0GHZ. The processor is coupled with either 4GB or 3GB of RAM in Redmi 6, with 64GB or 32GB internal storage respectively. Similarly, the Redmi 6A will be available only in 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. However, the internal storage is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card, in both devices.

Talking about the optics department, there is a Dual 12MP camera at the back, as primary, of the Redmi 6 and a 13MP shooter on the Redmi 6A. For selfies, there is a 5MP shooter on both the devices. Another difference between both devices are the fingerprint sensor, Redmi 6 has fingerprint sensor at the back and Redmi 6A does not have it.
