Xiaomi India recently launched the Redmi 5A in India, starting from IC Rs. 4,999 only. However, the Xiaomi India also launched Redmi Y1 Lite a while ago which is very-very similar to Xiaomi Redmi 5A. The only difference between them is the screen size, battery capacity, RAM size, and price, besides everything is exactly same. Something is fishy about the Xiaomi products these days. It seems they are just changing the name of products with negligible changes in their hardware.
Nevertheless, talking about the Xiaomi Redmi 5A, it is 5.0-inch 1280X720pixel display. The phone packs, Quad-core Snapdragon 425 SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM or 3GB RAM. To store your media files the phone packs 16GB/32GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD card.
In the optics department, the phone has a 13-megapixel camera at the rear and 5-megapixel for the selfie shooter and no LED flash. The Redmi 5A is running on Android 7.1.2 Nougat and is powered by a 3000mAh battery.
It has standard connectivity options, including 4G VoLTE and powered by a 3080mAh battery. However, similar to Redmi Y1 Lite the Redmi 5A also lacks fingerprint scanner
