While everyone was keeping their eyes on the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona. But on a different continent in China particularly, Xiaomi launched a new smartphone Mi 5C power by its own in-house chipset Surge S1. There was another phone from the manufacturer, which was quietly launched through its official page in Weibo. The product was Redmi 4X successor to Redmi 4.
The Redmi 4x has the similar design to the Redmi 4, with a 5-inch 720p display. The phone comes with a new Snapdragon 435 chipset with the same octa-core 1.4GHz A53 processor and Adreno 505 GPU. The newer model has Faster LTE speeds- 300Mbps for downlink and 100Mbps uplink.
Beside these, the specification of the Redmi 4X is similar to Redmi 4’s – a 13MP main camera, a 5MP selfie snapper, Dual-SIM, VoLTE support, and a 4,100 mAh battery. As usual, there is Android OS (probably Marshmallow) with MIUI 8.
Xiaomi Redmi 4X will be available in 2GB RAM + 16GB storage and 3GB RAM + 32GB storage options. The Chinese customers will be able to choose between Cherry Pink, Champagne Gold, and Mate Black paint jobs.
Redmi 4X will launch soon in China at CNY 699 ($100) for the 16GB model, and CNY 899 ($130) for the 32GB version. There is no information on when the Redmi 4X will launch outside China. Redmi 4 is available in Nepal, so we should expect the successor to be available in the Nepalese market soon.
