Finally, the Xiaomi unveils one of the highly anticipated smartphones of 2018, the Mi MIX 2S flagship smartphone. After series of leaks and speculations, the phone is finally revealed at an event in China, today. It packs a Snapdragon chipset, and dual camera setup at the rear with numerous function is the point of attraction. So, let’s talk about the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S price in Nepal (speculated), features, specs, and availability.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S measures 150/86X74.9X8.1 mm and weighs 189 grams only. It features a 7000-series aluminum frame and four-sided curved ceramic body. The camera at the rear is surrounded by gold and silver accents. Similarly, it features a 5.99 inches IPS LCD Full Screen 2.0 display, Full HD+ resolution of 2160X1080 pixels. It also offers higher screen-to-body ratio than its predecessor.
Coupled with Artificial Intelligence Engine, it packs a Snapdragon 845 chipset. There is a 3400mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 technology. Similarly, it also supports wireless charging, first Xiaomi phone to support the technology.
Similarly, the optics department seems to have got updates. It has a dual camera setup stacked vertically on the rear. It features 12-megapixel (Sony IMX363) f/1.8 aperture wide angle lens that has a pixel size of 1.4micron, coupled with another 12-megapixel telephoto lens that supports optical zoom. The dual camera setup is also capable of taking bokeh effect shots. The backgrounds of the Bokeh shot can be customized with different 6 dynamic effects such as AI Dream Bokeh, Van Gogh Starry Night effect, etc. The AI also makes it possible to detect up to 206 scenes along with support for real-time language translation and currency.
The connectivity features available on the Mi MIX 2S include dual-SIM, USB-C, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, NFC.

- 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM = 3,599 Yuan (~Rs. 57,000)
- 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM (King Version) = 3,999 Yuan (~Rs. 64,000)
The storage can be expanded via microSD card. It runs on Android Oreo, with MIUI 9.5 on the top. According to Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun, the Xiao AI voice assistant (only available in China) that has been introduced on the Mi MIX 2S is smart enough to take on the Apple’s Siri.
