Finally, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is official. This is one of the most anticipated smartphones of 2017 from Xiaomi, and the company has gone smaller from its predecessor. The phone is 5.99-inch tall, whereas its predecessor was 6.4-inch. With smaller display, it has 18:9 aspect ratio, and has opted for Full HD (2160X1080p) display instead of QHD. Additionally, MIX 2 has 12% less bottom bezel and curved glass at the front.
If we sneak inside, we will see a Snapdragon 835 chipset, which can be paired with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM. Talking about the storage, the 6GB RAM has either 64GB, 128GB or 256GB, while the 8GB RAM variant is Special Edition that has 128GB storage and a ceramic body.
In the optics department, it comes with a 12-megapixel Sony IMX386, identical to Mi 6. It also packs a 5-megapixel camera for selfies, at bottom front.
To back up the internals, it has 3,400mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0. However, the battery size is lower by 1000mAh. Hope this drop will not make any noticeable difference in the battery performance.
The 6GB+64GB Mi Mix 2 will cost you RMB 3,299 (€420), the 6GB+128GB costs RMB 3,599 (€460), the 6GB+256GB is RMB 3,999 (€510). The 8GB+128GB ceramic unibody special edition is €700. However, it would be a nice idea if we got on the same price, but seeing the valuation of other Mi devices we do not expect the same amount of price for Mi MIX 2 in Nepal.
