We always had complaints that the Xiaomi has overpriced its products in Nepal. Well, this is about to change from now onwards. With the launch of the new four devices, prices will be compared with the international prices. At an event in Soltee Crown Plaza, the company has launched 4 new devices; Xiaomi MiA2, MiA2 lite, Redmi 6, and Redmi 6A.
Xiaomi Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite
Xiaomi continued Android One collaboration with Google with Mi A2. Mi A2 comes with a 5.99-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 2160 pixels. Xiaomi Mi A2 price in Nepal starts from Rs. 30,999.
The Xiaomi Mi A2 is powered by 1.8GHz octa-core processor and it comes with 4GB of RAM. The phone packs 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Xiaomi Mi A2 packs a 20-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 20-megapixel front shooter for selfies. The Xiaomi Mi A2 is powered by a 3000mAh nonremovable battery.
Whereas, Mi A2 lite is powered by 2.0 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor. It has a 4000 mAh battery and has 5.84″ IPS LCD screen at 1080 pixels by 2280 pixels. Primary camera set includes 12 MP + 5 MP f/2.2 duo while the front side only has a 5 MP camera. This phone supports Micro SD card and has a 3.5 mm headphone jack though which is very good. The price of Mi A2 Lite for 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage variant is Rs 20,999 while the price of 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage variant is Rs 24,999.
Both the devices have dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, USB OTG, 3G and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone include Compass/ Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, and Gyroscope. Xiaomi Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A
The two budget-friendly devices, Redmi 6 and 6A are other devices launched in the event. The Redmi 6 has 5.45″ LCD screen at 720×1440, runs with 2.0 GHz octa-core processor with MediaTek MT6762 inside. It has 3 GB and 4 GB RAM variant with 32 GB and 64 GB storage options. The display size is same 5.45 inch LCD screen in the Redmi 6A whereas has Helio A22 processor. The 6A has 2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage variant. The price of Redmi 6 in Nepal is Rs 16,499 for 3 GB+32 GB model and price of 3+64 GB is Rs 18,499. Whereas, the price of Redmi 6A is Rs 12,999.
Redmi 6 hosts a 12 MP + 5 MP f/2.2 dual back camera set up while the front hosts a 5 MP sensor. The Redmi 6A comes with 13 MP f/2.2 sensor at back and 5 MP f/2.2 sensor at front. Both of the phones come with 3000 mAh battery.
