Xiaomi announced the successor to its gaming smartphone the Xiaomi Black Shark. Xiaomi is no stranger in terms of designing and making high-end smartphones. It has become a direct threat to other companies like Razer and ASUS. Today Xiaomi announced the Black Shark 2, a smartphone dedicated to the gamers.
The Black Shark 2 features 6.39 inches OLED display, with an in-display fingerprint sensor. Besides, the Xiaomi also added a pressure sensitive system that let you can map the button location on the corners, can be used as a trigger when you press it harder in that part. Further, the company has also optimized the display.
Inside the device, there is Snapdragon 855, an octa-core processor, coupled with 6/8/12 GB of RAM. To store the files, there is 128GB and 256GB available inside the device. A 4,000 mAh battery with 27W fast charging technology, is backing up the device.
For imaging, the Black Shark 2 packs a dual camera setup on the back, with 48MP + 12MP sensors. Similarly, for selfies, there is a 20MP sensor.
To minimize the heating issue, Black Shark 2 contains a vapor chamber cooling system, which was seen in Razer phone. To support gaming, there are also optional accessories like a handheld grip, which can be attached to the phone.
Talking about the pricing, Xiaomi will start selling the device in “Frozen Silver” or “Shadow Black” in China starting today. The base model 128GB will cost you around $480 and the 256GB model will cost you $625.
