With increasing competition among the smartphone brands in Nepal, Vivo is the latest company to enter in the Nepali market. Just a few months ago, the company made its official launch. Now, from mid-range to budgets phones, it seems to compete in every section. Just a couple of days ago, Vivo updated their FB status informing about the budget phone launching soon – Vivo Y81i. As I already mentioned it’s going to be a budget phone, under 20K NPR. Talking about the device, it packs 6.22-inch HD+ display with a 19:9 aspect ratio, with the plastic body. Corning Gorilla Glass also protects the display and it runs on Android 8.1 Oreo, with Funtouch OS 4.0 on the top.
Under the hood, there is Mediatek MT6761 Helio A22 (12nm) chipset with Quad Core 2.0 GHz Cortex –A53 CPU and PowerVR GE8320 GPU. Similarly, the processor is paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, expandable up to 256GB.
The optics department is also decent, with 13MP, f/2.2, PDAF on the back and 5MP f/2.2 aperture for the selfies. The front camera also can recognize the face and can be used as facial unlock. Sensors include the accelerometer, proximity, compass, whereas the connectivity includes WLAN, Bluetooth, GPS, Radio and micro USB 2.0.
