At the recent Mobile World Congress 2018, Chinese manufacturer Vivo showed the world concept phone, Vivo Apex. Though the device had some unique design choice, we didn’t think the device will see daylight anytime soon. But the company surprised everyone with the launch of the device in China. So, let’s talk about the Vivo Apex price, specs, and availability.
The main attraction of the Vivo Apex is the display that has no notch or extremely minimal bezel with almost half of the screen works as a fingerprint scanner and interesting pop-up front facing camera. Vivo Apex is powered by the latest Snapdragon 845 chipset.
Talking about the specs, it has 5.99-inch OLED display with COF technology. The company has embedded the ambient and proximity sensor under the display so that it will give the users a full-screen experience. As I already mentioned, it also has embedded fingerprint scanner on screen, unlike the Vivo X20 Plus, which is available only at one spot, whereas the half of the screen of Vivo Apex is integrated with the on-screen fingerprint reader.
Since the phone has a full-screen display, to place the front camera it would need to create a notch at the top. So, the company decides to place the camera hidden at the top of the device that would pop-up at the time of need. It takes only 0.8 seconds for the front camera to pop-up. As for regular photography, the device has a dual camera vertical setup at the rear of the device.
Similarly, with System in Package (SIP) technology, the Vivo Apex also offer Hi-Fi audio experience and is equipped with three amplifiers and DAC.
However, the company has not disclosed the information regarding the RAM, storage, front and rear camera configuration or the battery capacity of the device. Further, the company also announced that the mass production of Vivo Apex will begin by the middle of this year. Neither the price of Vivo Apex was been disclosed by the company.
So, what do you think the Vivo Apex price would be? What specs would like to see? Share your thoughts in the comment box below.
