Sony, again adds a new device to its Xperia XA2 series. There is already a couple of variant with the name of Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra, now lets welcome Xperia XA 2 Plus. Sony Xperia XA2 Plus is only to feature the 18:9 aspect ratio display among these three.
The Xperia XA 2 Ultra features Sony’s High-Resolution audio and upscaling technology, which means you will get more out of your music than much mid-range manage. The only difference from other Xperia XA2 models is only the thin bezels, otherwise, it looks almost similar to Xperia XA2 Ultra. Further, there is a single-lens 8-megapixel sensor with the wide-angle feature on the front, whereas the Ultra has a dual-lens one.
Talking about the device, it comes with 6-inch, 1080X2160 pixel resolution display, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the top. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo, out of the box. Inside there is Snapdragon 630 chipset with octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU clocked at 2.2GHz and Adreno 509 GPU. The processor is coupled with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. To store your media files, there is 32GB or 64GB internal storage. There is 3580mAh non-removable battery, with Fast battery charging (Quick Charge 3.0) technology.
The optics department is also quite similar to the Ultra, with 23MP with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, LED flash. Features include geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, HDR, panorama. For selfies, there is an 8MP sensor with f/2.4 aperture.
Sensors include Fingerprint (rear-mounted), accelerometer, proximity, compass. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi, GPS, an Infra-red port, FM Radio, micro USB 2.0.
Sony Xperia XA2 Plus Price and Availability
The device will be launched in August, but there is no information about the availability of the device in any other location besides its home country. Neither the price was unveiled, but we expect it will start from $449 (~Rs. 46,000).
With improved screen resolution and aspect ratio, the devices come on the top among the XA2 lineup. If it inherits the price tag of its predecessor, you should keep an eye on it.
