Mobile World Congress Shanghai 2017 was in limelight for the innovative fingerprint scanning solution for the Chinese manufacturer VIVO. At the same event, San Diego-based semiconductor company Qualcomm showcased its latest chipset for mid-range smartphones and tablets. And Qualcomm has brought Snapdragon 450 with better performance and support.

The latest processor Snapdragon 450 delivers significant improvements in battery life, graphics and computer performance, imaging, and LTE connectivity. The Snapdragon 450 paired with Adreno 506 is 25 percent faster at both CPU and GPU speed when compared to its predecessor Snapdragon 435. A major jump from 28 to 14nm FinFET process also results in up to four additional hours of usage time on the same battery capacity and single charge, not to mention 30 percent less power consumption in typical gaming scenarios.
Photography enthusiast will be happy to hear that the Snapdragon 450 is the first 400-series silicon supporting real-time Bokeh effects, with up to 13 + 13MP dual cameras or a single 21MP main shooter. The USB 3.0 on Snapdragon 450 supports Quick Charge 3.0, which can charge 80% charge in 35 minutes. With Snapdragon 450, the will be capable of recording 1080p videos as well as playback 60fps 1080p videos. And also, with Snapdragon X9 LTE modem improves LTE speeds.
The Snapdragon 450 will be available to manufacturers from Q3 2017. And the customers will have the device with this SoC from Q4 2017.
