To celebrate the milestones of 8 years of inceptions, the Xiaomi plans to launch a new phone on 31 may 2018. The device to be launched will be named as Xiaomi Mi 8, which is also the successor of Xiaomi Mi 6 flagship. Actually, ahead of the official launch, the photos of retail box pops-up on the internet. The famous leaker group Slash Leaks leaks the Xiaomi Mi 8 box photo.
These images reveal the new details and confirm other specs also. As you can see, the device will have a notch, probably the largest ever we have seen in any smartphones. Similarly, the phone will have dual rear cameras and the blue color variant is for sure.
Similarly, the text on the front of the retail box says, Mi 8 will come with dual-frequency GPS. That means this GPS receiver provides a greater level of accuracy than currently used sensor. The technology was announced at a conference by Broadcom, last year. The Broadcom says the new technology will provide 30-centimeter accuracy instead of 5-meter. On the top, the sensor will use 50% less power and enhance location-based service.
Further, the leaked image also confirms the phone will have a Snapdragon 845 processor, which is the latest and most powerful chipset from Qualcomm. Similarly, it will have AI optical dual cameras and 3D infrared facial recognition.
It reveals the phone will come with dual rear cameras, a 20MP front camera with face recognition, a Snapdragon 845 chipset and the new GPS technology. It also shows the device will have a 6GB RAM and 64GB storage, at least. Other specs, are USB-C port/charger, 3.5mm audio jack, and dual SIM support.
