Which phone are you currently using? Is it OnePlus, Oppo or Vivo?  Do you know one secret about these smartphones brands?

Actually, all these three brands have a thing in common.  They are all Chinese brands, however, if you are not a frequent visitor of a tech website, chances that you have heard of them is quite slim. Actually, all these three brands are the subsidiaries of one Chinese company. Meet BBK Electronics, a quite old company founded in 1995, whose headquarter is in Dongguan, Goungdong, China.

Among these, BBK fully owns Oppo and Vivo, and OnePlus is technically a subsidiary of Oppo. So, OnePlus also becomes the property of BBK. The BBK also has two branches and one subsidiary on file, where its business in research, production, and sales of educational equipment – stuff like learning machines, language repeaters, electronic dictionaries, reading machines, and so forth.

As we already know, the parent company markets smartphones under Oppo, OnePlus and Vivo and Blu-ray players, headphone amplifiers under the OPPO Digital division.

Oppo is the first brand to come into existence in 2004. But only in 2008, the Oppo entered the smartphone field. And in 2009 Vivo was born. Only after 4 years another and probably the most popular brand was born in 2013.

Moreover, it also has a brand called “IMOO”. It was unveiled just last year. The company’s portfolio holds a number of 4 handset brands, which is quite impressive.

Did you know – smartphone makers OnePlus, Oppo, and Vivo are all owned by the same company?
