Especially because of the Apple’s latest flagship – the iPhone X, Samsung is planning to launch the device a bit early than last year. The launch date is expected to be late February or early March, but very little is known about the Galaxy S9. Last year, the Samsung announced the Galaxy S8 in late March. So, we can expect the Galaxy S9 will be announced in late February or the early March.

As the agreement between Qualcomm and Samsung, the next S-series will be the first device to be launch with Snapdragon 845. Along with Snapdragon SoC, some S-series will also feature Samsung’s own Exynos 9810. Regarding the RAM, the Samsung Galaxy S9 might have 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM and internal storage starting from 64 GB. The storage could go as big as 512-Gigabyte Universal Flash Storage. Samsung has recently unveiled 512 GB of internal storage.

When it comes to the camera, Galaxy S9 might have the ability to shoot incredibly slow motion video. That means, they might have the ability to shoot the video at 960 -1000 fps, currently Sony’s Xperia XZ1 and Xperia XZ Premium have that sensor, the highest sensor in any smartphones.
Talking about the design, the Galaxy S9 will have 90% screen-to-body ratio. Of course, there might be a couple of sizes, the regular Galaxy S9 will feature 5.77-inch panel, where the S9 Plus might have a 6.22-inch screen. According to Sam Mobile, the Samsung’s engineers are developing two separate firmware, G960FXXU0AQI5, and G965FXXU0AQI5. The model numbers of Samsung’s next flagship smartphones have therefore been confirmed as well. The Galaxy S9 will be SM-G960 while the Galaxy S9+ will be SM-G965.
