Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus, initial impressions

At first sight, the phone is huge and beautiful. For a minute or so, I just stared at the device; it looks slick and feels boxier in hands. Well, design-wise, the Galaxy Note 10 Plus is better than its predecessor is. After using the device like for 24 hours, here are my Note 10 Plus initial impressions.

When you hold it on the hand, the first thing you will feel: no button on the right side, actually the right side is clean. No power button? Well, wait, its shifted on the left side, just below the volume rocker. That’s what I thought until I found out that it was also the Bixby button, that was annoying.

With a metallic frame holding the two-glass panel, the device feels boxier than ever. However, the curvy edge in the screen might be a problem for the same, for me, I prefer not to have one. It becomes worse if you game a lot. Still, the device one of the most powerful and beautiful in the market.

The Galaxy Note 10 Plus comes with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage, whereas the 512GB variant is also available in the international market. For me, 128GB might have also been fine. Having extra internal storage is always welcome.

There has been some updated in S-Pen also, however, the updates are not of much interesting. I liked the Note series for the S-Pen, though their other extra features did not attract me much, except writing capability and in MS PowerPoint Presentation. Actually, at my presentation, the S-Pen and the device has been quite useful, just plug it in and start your presentation.

Now coming to the camera, well its complicated to explain or compare with its predecessor. For now, the camera has impressed me. There are some features, which I did not notice in Note 9, like Instagram and Live Focus Video. I am yet to test them; I will cover them in full camera review later on. For now, the cameras are awesome.

The performance, using it for 24 hours plus, I feel no lag or anything else while using any apps or offline games. However, the online games performance was poor, to be honest, the PUBG felt like I was playing in a low-end device, frame drops and lag was quite high. This issue might be due to the server problems, so, for a full performance test, wait for our full review in a few days.

My Expectation

Being said so; the device is still a great phone. It just did not come out as I expected. For example, I wanted at least 90Hz refresh rate screen, 3.5mm audio jack, complete removal of Bixby button. At last, the most important, there should have been a single version of Note 10.

Verdict: Galaxy Note 10 Plus initial impressions

The device is beautiful, whatever I have written above, the device is still powerful, and that will not disappoint you at all. I might have some expectation that Samsung did not care about, but the device is still a powerhouse.
