One of the most awaited events in the smartphone industry, the Samsung unveiled the latest Note line up yesterday, the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+. With beautiful glass and metal design, powerful internals and cameras, the new Galaxy Note 10 have some improved features and something weird also.
Samsung’s Note series has always been the best smartphone that Samsung has produced, and the Galaxy Note 10 and 10+ is no expectation. Starting with the design, both phone has a boxier design, the display goes right to the edges. They almost removed the bezels on top and bottom and curved on sides. On the top, the selfie camera is in the Infinity-O cutout, a hole punch on the top center of the phone. Well, about the notch or punch hole, whether you like it or not, it’s there, for some it might like weird and for me, I have mixed feelings. Nevertheless, the display looks amazing.
There are also improvements or upgrade in the camera, there is a triple camera on the back. The camera is aligned vertically, with 12MP being main camera, another 12MP telephone, 2X optical zoom and 16MP ultra-wide camera, in both the devices. However, in Note 10+ there is extra TOF 3D VGA camera for more clear and depth photos.
Coming the S-Pen, it has some software improvements and features. One of the prominent features of Note series is the S-Pen. Now you can search your note that you wrote in screen off memo. Just head to the Notes app and search what you typed in the note. There are also some air-action controls like you can swipe between the different modes in the camera, while holding the S-pen button and swiping up and down or sideways.
Since both phones are the flagships; they pack Snapdragon 855 or Exynos 9825, based on your locations. Similarly, both devices have 8GB or 12 GB of RAM in Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ respectively with 256GB internal storage. However, expandable storage is only available in Galaxy Note 10+.

Weird or not so great features of the Note 10 and 10+
Starting with the 3.5mm audio jack, it has been removed. They say that it is an issue with space, however, if you could fit the entire pen inside the device, how much space does the audio jack take? Don’t worry, there will be a headphone but only the USB Type-C but no dongle. Further, the power button is also moved to the left and no Bixby button. Wait wait, the power button works as the Bixby button; tap once it does the normal sleep/wake. However, if you keeping holding it, it will open the Bixby feature, no matter how long you hold it. To turn off the device, just swipe down the screen, there is a power button along with setting, touch it and it will let you the option to power off or restart the device.
