After rolling out the Android 9 Pie update for Galaxy S9 and S9+ flagships, the Samsung has released Pie update roadmap. The roadmap reveals that it will be treating 24 of its device with the latest version of Android. Even older Samsung smartphones are also getting the Android 9 Pie update.
However, it will be a long roadmap for some Samsung device owners. The rollout will begin from next year; the last update will be rolled out on October 2019. Going by this Samsung Android Pie update roadmap, the Galaxy S9 and S9+ are the devices that will get the update at first, followed by Galaxy Note 9 on February and Galaxy S8 in March and so on.
However, point to be noted, the Galaxy s7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are not on the list. Probably, the reason behind could be that the devices already received two major updates, Android Oreo.
In May 2019, Samsung Galaxy J4, Galaxy J4+, Galaxy J6, Galaxy J6+, and Galaxy A8 star will get the Android 9 Pie update. Similarly, in July older Galaxy J7 (2017) will be blessed with Android 9 Pie and Galaxy j7 Duo will also receive the latest Android in August.
Further, in September Galaxy J3 (2017) and Galaxy Tab S39.7 will get the update. At last, in October 2019, three tablets Tab A (2017), Galaxy Tab Active 2 and Galaxy Tab A 10.4 are going to receive the update.
The owner of Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets should be aware that even though the company released the roadmap, the dates may changes.
