The refreshed version of low-end phones from HMD, Nokia 5.1, 3.1 and 2.1 Announced. Nokia launched the new successor for the Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 as Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 5.1 respectively, along with Android Go-powered Nokia 2.1. Both Nokia 3.1 and 5.1 comes with 18:9 aspect ratio display. The company unveiled the devices at the Nokia Moscow event.
The Nokia 3.1 and 5.1 are also the part of Android One Program, that means they will receive two years of Android updates and three years of security patch updates. The company also updated that the devices are slated to receive the Android P update also.
Nokia 5.1
Nokia 5.1 has got the biggest change among these three, with 18:9 aspect ratio, 5.5-inch 2160X1080 pixel IPS LCD screen. Under the hood, their processor was also switched to MediaTek instead of Qualcomm Snapdragon. Actually, the HMD says the new MT6755s chipset is 40% faster than the previous generation.
Similarly, the devices come with 2GB or 3GB of RAM, and 16GB or 32GB of internal storage, expandable via the hybrid slot. In optics department, there is a 16-megapixel sensor on the rear camera and 8-megapixel for the selfies. There is a 2870mAh battery inside. The fingerprint is also placed on the rear.
Nokia 3.1
The Nokia 3.1 also gets a major update on the processor with MediaTek MT6750 octa-core chipset. Further, it comes with 5.2 inches 18:9, 1440X720 resolution display. There is a 2,990mAh battery. The processor is coupled with 2GB or 3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of expandable storage. The phone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.
There is a 13-megapixel sensor as the primary camera and an 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 sensor for the selfies.
Nokia 2.1
The phone comes with traditional 16:9 aspect ratio, 720X1280 pixel resolution, 5.5-inches display. Under the hood, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 Quad-core processor. The processor is coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. There is a huge 4000mAh battery to backup the internals.
The company decides to adopt Android Go for the Nokia 2.1, which means it will have more free storage and faster Android version.
Pricing and Availability
The Nokia 5.1 will cost 189 Euros starting and the more powerful set will cost you 219 Euros only. The device will be available in copper, tempered blue and black color.
Similarly, the Nokia 3.1 will be available in blue and copper, black and chrome and white iron color combination. The price will start from 139 Euros and 169 euros for 3GB RAM variant.
Next, the Nokia 2.1 comes in blue and copper, blue and silver and gray and silver for 99euros only.
The Nokia 5.1 and Nokia 2.1 are scheduled to be launched in July 2018, whereas the Nokia 3.1 will launch next Month. However, there was no information about the regional availability.
