After a series of leaks and speculations, OnePlus has finally launched the OnePlus 6, yesterday. The OnePlus 6 was announced as its international launch event in London, England. A few days ago, the brand ambassador of OnePlus in India, Mr. Bachchan a couple of photo of him and CEO Mr. Lau checking out the latest OnePlus.The phone was unveiled in India, today at 10 AM IST sharp. So, let’s talk about the OnePlus 6 price, specifications, and availability.
OnePlus Design and Display
OnePlus 6 has 6.28-inch, 19:9 aspect ratio, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5, which is the biggest screen on a OnePlus handset ever. A notch on top of the display seems smaller than on other devices. Both back and front of the phone are protected by the Gorilla Glass 5. The company says the glass will feel like ceramic.
Further, the phone still has the headphone jack and more water resistant, though not IP rated. The alert slider continued on OnePlus devices, which is moved to the right of the phone, just above power/lock key and SIM tray also moved to the right just above the volume rocker.
OnePlus 6 Camera
This is one of the most important and trending factors in any smartphone. So, the OnePlus is also pretty careful about it. There is a dual rear camera on the back, with the primary 16-megapixel sensor and secondary snapper with 20megapixel, which does have fancy features like optical zoom, wide lens or mono chrome lens. Of course, both cameras sensors are made by Sony and feature OIS and EIS. The rear camera can shoot up to a minute of slow motion at 480fps at 720 resolutions. For selfies, there will be a 16-megapixel sensor with fixed focus and f/2.0 aperture.
OnePlus Power and Storage
Inside, there is latest SoC from Qualcomm, Snapdragon 845 chipset, ensuring plenty of power under the hood. It runs on Android 8 Oreo, with Oxygen OS 5.1 on the top. If you like, it also supports Android P beta too. It packs a 3300mAh non-removable battery, featuring Dash Charge technology. The company claims, the battery will provide enough power to last for a whole day, just in one hour of charge.
The phone will be available with 6GB and 8GB RAM variant, with 64GB and 128GB or 256GB internal storage respectively.
OnePlus Biometrics
For security purpose, there is a fingerprint sensor on the rear, which is now smaller oval shaped, unlike its predecessor, which was a round shaped. Besides, there is also Face Unlock feature included. The company also claims that the face unlock takes only 0.4 seconds, while the fingerprint sensor will take 0.2 seconds only.
OnePlus Release Date
OnePlus 6 will be released from May 22 for the Midnight Black and Mirror Black, but the company announced a series of pop-ups events across US, Europe, India, and China on May 21. Similarly, a limited-edition Silk White will go on sale from June 5.
OnePlus 6 Price
The price of OnePlus 6 64Gb/6GB variant starts from $529, which is quite expensive than OnePlus 5T, which started from $499 for the same RAM and storage.
Similarly, for 128GB/8GB variant, the price goes up by extra $50 to $579 only, which is also expensive than the same variant of OnePlus 5T.
At last, OnePlus 6 8GB/256GB model cost $629, which makes it the most expensive OnePlus smartphone ever.
