Nokia is back to the same reputation as before was acquired by biggest tech giant Microsoft. Though under the Microsoft, the mobile division couldn’t live up the reputation as the Nokia. Lack of interest from customers and Developers with Windows OS on the Nokia devices eventually led to demise of Nokia brand from the smartphone industry.
However, trying to wake up from its graveyard, the HMD Global bought the brand form Microsoft, and rays of hopes came alive. HMD Global has released a variety of smartphone on brand name Nokia, over the course of past years. From entry level to the flagship, the company has brought a bundle of smartphones in the market. Nokia 8 being the latest flagship seemed the HMD’s lineup was complete. Hold on, the case is quite different, rumors of “Nokia 9” have started following around the internet.

And now for today, the documents upcoming flagship from HMD Global was published online, revealing some of the smartphone’s specs.
If we look at the photo above, the display is 5.5-inch OLED, manufactured by LG. The display will be 16:9 aspect ratio. Since the Nokia was using LCD panel in their previous models, the OLED display is the appreciable step. Furthermore, the phone has dual 12-megapixel + 13-megapixel cameras at the rear and a 5-megapixel front facing the camera.
Nokia 9 price & the release date is unknown.
Under the hood, the phone packs a Snapdragon 835 chip and 128GB of internal storage and backed up by 3250mAh battery. Though the Nokia 9 will be launched in the year 2018, the devices will be powered by Snapdragon 835, which is disappointing. At the same time around, most of the flagship devices will be powered by Snapdragon 845.
The Nokia 8 will be running on Android 8.0 Oero, out of the box. The Nokia 9 price and the release date is still unknown but the Galaxy S9 and Nokia 9 could be released at the same event or just before the World Mobile Congress 2018, making both phones the point of attraction at the event.
