Finally, after months of leaks and speculations, the Moto X4 finally makes a debut at the ongoing IFA 2017 Berlin.
The phone has 5.2 inches Full HD LTPS IPS display with 424ppi which is protected by the Corning Gorilla (unspecified version) on the top. If we sneak inside the phone, we will have a 2.2GHZ Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 octa-core SoC paired with Adreno 508 GPU and 3GB/4GB of RAM. To store the media files, the phone has 32GB/64GB internal storage build in, which is expandable up to 256GB.
In the optics department, it has a 12-megapixel camera dual autofocus sensor with f/2.0 aperture and 1.4-micron pixels; and another 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle sensor with a 120-degree field of view, f/2.2 aperture, and 1.12-micron pixels.
At the front, the phone comes with a 16-megapixel sensor with flash support, f/2.0 aperture, and 1-micron pixels. It also has the features like adaptive low light mode, selfie panorama, face filters, beautification mode, and professional mode.
The phone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, out of the box. To back up the internals, it comes with a 3000mAh none removable battery. It event supports fast charging technology, (six hours of power in just 15 minutes)
Connectivity options include NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, and Wi-Fi 802.11ac (dual band, 2.4GHz and 5GHz), GPS, GLONASS, 4G LTE, and FM radio support. The smartphone sports an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer, and proximity sensor.
Talking about the features, it comes with Google Assistant and Alexa Amazon support offering for voice based search. Now, this is the first time Motorola has brought water resistant smartphone. It also has an inbuilt password manager called Moto key. Additionally, Bluetooth support brings the ability to allow it to sync with four speakers or headphones at one time, which is a killer feature.
And the bad news is that the new Moto X4 will be released in September in Europe at € 400, and there is no news about launching it globally.
