Lots of smartphones are coming on this MWC 2018, and Mi Mix 2s is one of them. A while ago, the reports suggested that the successor of Mi Mix 2 is going to be launched at MWC 2018. However, a recent report claim, the phone will be launching ahead of MWC. Probably, on the 25th of February, keep in mind, the Samsung is also launching the Galaxy S9 and S9+ on the same day.
The leaker is happened to be the Weibo tipster who confirmed that the Xiaomi is planning the launch the phone just before the MWC 2018. However, nothing more than that has been revealed. He just asked readers to guess the upcoming Xiaomi’s first Snapdragon 845 powered model. That also means the Mi 7 will be the next flagship with Snapdragon 845. Because the rumors about the Mi Mix 3 also can be heard there is less chance that the company will pack Snapdragon 845 on Mi Mix 2s. The Mi Mix 2s seems to be just an upgrade to its predecessor, though. But the Mi Mix 2s is almost confirmed.
If we look at the feature image, the device looks pretty similar to Mi Mix 2, just some reduction in the bezels and awkward position of the camera.
The front camera is located on the top-right corner of the phone, while Mi Mix 2 had the front camera at the bottom, which resulted in an awkward-looking notch on the right side. The front bottom looked pretty slim, the bezels have been more narrow.
At the rear, there nothing much of change. There is a single rear camera, fingerprint sensor below the camera, with an 18K gold decorative ring around the camera. Of course, the body is still made up of ceramic. However, the device has not been confirmed but it is expected to be priced around 4000 Yuan.
