Xiaomi has every kind of smartphones lineup be it budget-end, mid-range or premium flagship, be it small screen phone or bigger screen phablet. And talking about the phablet, the company has launched 3rd generation its phablet Mi Max series, Xiaomi Mi Max 3. The company founder had teased the Mi Max3 on Weibo some time back, which now officially launched.
The key feature of this phablet is big a 6.9-inch screen with Full HD+ resolution and 18:9 ratio and a massive 5,500 mAh battery. Besides this, the Mi Max is heavily influenced by the Redmi Note 5. It runs the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset with an octa-core CPU at 1.8 GHz. The dual camera setup is also the same – 12 MP main snapper with f/1.9 aperture, 1.4µm pixel size and dual-pixel phase detection AF, plus a secondary 5 MP unit with f/2.0 lens for portrait shots. The selfie snapper has an 8 MP sensor.
The phablet runs on MIUI 9.5 out of the box, which is based Android 8.1 Oreo. And the phone has plenty of AI features, including scene recognition, face unlocks, better selfies and a voice assistant. Connectivity wise the Mi Max 3 includes Dual VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0 and a USB-C port. There is also a 3.5 mm audio jack, unlike the flagship Mi 8 series. And will be available in Black, Champagne Gold, and Blue colors.The Mi Max 3 will be available in two variant – 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage for CNY1,699 ($252) or 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage for CNY1,999 ($300). The device is currently launched only in China. But we are hopeful the device will make to Nepalese market pretty soon.
