Facebook has rolled out a fresh new update of its Messenger App. The new update interesting update like Group Video Chat and Snapchat like filters on video chat. Now the Facebook users can video chat with 6 people at once.
There had been one-to-one video chatting facility on Messenger for some time, but if you wish to video chat with more than one person then you would have to opt for other apps like Skype. Now with the update, you can directly video chat with the member of your group chat. You can video chat up to 50 people at once but for now, it will limit to only six people.
To start a group video chat, simply open up an existing group text chat or start a new one. There will be a video button in the upper right to switch over. Everyone in the conversation will be notified and given the opportunity to join via video. You can also directly ring people to get them to join.
Right in time for the holidays, we’re excited to introduce Group Video Chat on Messenger. This is our most requested feature ever and starting today, Group Video Chat will be available on Android and iOS devices and the desktop version of Messenger, globally. Group Video Chat is the perfect way to get a group of friends together, from anywhere, and share moments live. Chatting face-to-face live as a group is perfect for those spontaneous moments where text just isn't enough…or when you have a major case of FOMO. Group Video Chat in Messenger is super easy to use (and free over Wifi!). Just make sure you have the latest version of Messenger updated and in a group conversation, tap on the video icon in the upper right corner of the screen to enter the video chat and everyone in the group will be notified. Up to 6 people can join and share live video at one time… but don't worry if your group is a little larger – because other friends can join in via voice as well (up to 50 people total). For more info, visit: http://wp.me/p4eLrC-1Ps. We hope you enjoy this new Group Video Chat feature!

The Messenger app has been the app people love to hate, but with the addition of group video chatting the app will be more useful than WhatsApp, which recently added one-to-one video chatting some weeks back.
The update is currently rolled out for the IOS user, but the Android users should expect the update soon. The update has rolled out recently, so give it sometimes if the features are not showing up for you yet.
