A new controversy has surrounded the latest flagship of OnePlus – OnePlus 5 and it appears that it has some serious issue. However, the company claims that the “ jelly scrolling effect ” when scrolling is “natural”
OnePlus says jelly scrolling effect on OnePlus 5 is normal
Some units of the flagship are affected by a strange screen issue that behaves like jelly as you scroll through it.
However, the company says “the OnePlus 5 uses the same level of high-quality components as all OnePlus devices, including the AMOLED display”. We’ve received feedback from a small number of users saying that at times they notice a subtle visual effect when scrolling. This is natural and there’s no variance in screens between devices.”- The Verge
Some experts also claimed that the issue occurred due to display panel being inverted. But the company says it’s deliberately engineered and it’s not proven that investing display is not the cause of such jelly effect while scrolling.
However, this issue will not be fixed with OTA update or sending your phone in for replacements will also do not guarantee the fix. So, right now just hope your phone will not have such effect.
The flagship is set to launch on Kaymu Mobile Week, in Nepal. But we recommend waiting before spending more on it.
