Apple silently announced the latest tablets, the iPad models. After a long gap, Apple launched the fifth generation of iPad Mini, along with iPad Air, just through a press release. The iPad Mini came after a long time, its predecessor was launched back in 2015. The new iPad Mini shares some feature with iPad Pro, including screen, a thin and lightweight design, latest chipset, at much affordable price.
Apple iPad Mini 5th Generation
The fifth generation of iPad Mini measures 7.9-inch IPS display with 2048X1536 pixel resolution, making 325ppi. The display has DCI-P3 gamut support and features Apple’s True Tone technology. Inside, there is an Apple A12 processor, which is the most powerful chipset, only A12X version can overcome the performance. The devices come in a couple of storage, 64GB, and 256GB out of the box, of course, no expandable storage.
Talking about the camera, we already know, one of the best cameras can be found in Apple’s devices and the fifth generation of iPad Mini is no difference. It packs an 8MP rear camera and 7MP for FaceTime and selfie. It also supports Apple Pencil stylus, that means, the first generation of Apple Pencil can be used with this device. However, the Pencil will not come with the device, it will cost $99 only.
Apple iPad Air
It features 10.5 inch LCD Retina Display, with True Tone and wide colors. It is powered by Apple A12 Bionic chip with Neural Engine. The chipset is a couple with only 2GB of RAM. It will be available in a couple of variants, 64GB and 256GB storage.
The optics department is as usual, with a single 8MP rear camera and 7MP FaceTime/selfie camera. It also has stereo speakers. Further, it also supports first generation Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard.
