Premium range category of the smartphone is mostly pre-dominantly occupied by three manufacturers, Samsung, Huawei, and Apple. Whenever any of one of the manufacturer launches any new device, that device is compared with devices of another manufacturer. So as we are about to compare the recently launched Huawei P30 Pro with the Samsung’ Galaxy S10 Plus and Apple’s iPhone XS Max.

Design and Display
The initial impression of any device is how the device treats to the eyes of the customers. Let’s start with the physical outer look of all three devices. All the three devices have glass design with a metal frame. The Huawei P30 Pro has a 6.47 inches OLED display with a resolution of 1080 X 2340pixels, 19:5.9 ratio with 398ppi density screen. Similarly, iPhone XS Max has 6.5 inches Retina OLED display with 1242 X 2688pixels, 19.5:9 ratio with 458ppi density screen. And finally, Galaxy S10Plus has 6.4 inches Dynamic AMOLED display with 1440X3040pixels, 19:9 ratio with 522ppi density screen. The display of the Galaxy S10Plus is protected by Gorilla Glass 6 and iPhone XS Max’s display is protected by Scratch-resistant glass. But in case of the P30 Pro, it is not specified by the company. All three devices are compatible with HDR 10.
Huawei P30 Pro is the best looking phone with all the colors such as Aurora, Amber Sunrise, Breathing Crystal, Black, and Pearl White. With the curve display, the screen is among the vivid display.
Camera
The rear camera setups on three devices are completely different. The Huawei P30 Pro leads on the camera department, with Leica quad camera setup on the rear. The P30 Pro has a 40MP f/1.6 lens, 20MP f/2.2 ultra-wide angle lens, 8MP f/3.4 telephoto lens, and Huawei Time-of-Flight (TOF) camera. The iPhone XS Max has only dual camera setup with a 12MP f1.8 ultra-wide lens and 12Mp f/2.4 telephoto lens. And the Galaxy S10 Plus has triple camera setup of the 12M f/1.5-2.4 lens, 12MP f/2.4 telephoto lens, and 16MP f/2.2 ultra-wide lens.
Among three devices, the P30 Pro has better features over Samsung S10 Plus and iPhone XS Max, with the features 50X super Zoom and stunning low-light performance. With the camera set up on the Huawei P30 Pro, you can take pictures even on the pitch black conditions. As per DxOMark, Huawei P30 Camera scores 112 points, Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus scores 109 points and iPhone XS Max scores 105 points
On the front camera, Galaxy S10 Plus leads the competition with a dual camera setup of the 10MP f/1.9 lens and 8MP f/2.2 depth sensor lens. Whereas, the other two houses only single lens on the front, with Huawei P30 Pro having a massive 32MP f/2.0 lens and iPhone XS Max having a 7MP f/2.2 lens. Even on front video, S10 plus take over other two with having capabilities of shooting 2160p video at 30fps whereas other two can only shoot 1080p video at 30fps.
With all the comparison among three devices P30 Pro, Galaxy S10Plus and iPhone XS Max, Huawei P30 Pro is definitely the best among all the three. Will the super 50X zoom, wide angle and the best night shot, P30 Pro leads the camera category. And the DxOMark rating also proofs the P30 Pro best camera on the smartphone in the industry.
Performance
All the three devices are powered different chipsets, mostly made in house by the manufacturers itself, with the exception of S10 Plus in certain markets. Both the Kirin 980 and A12 Bionic on Huawei P30 Pro and iPhone XS Max are based on the 7nm technology. Whereas, the chipset used on Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus is based on region. On the device sold in the US and some countries, the company has used Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Chipset based on 7nm technology and for the rest of the world company’s in-house Exynos 9820 chipset based on 8nm technology.
For the Graphics performance, the chipset on P30 Pro is paired with Mali-G76 MP10, iPhone XS Max with Apple GPU and S10 Plus with Adreno 640(SD 855) or Mali-G76 MP12 (Exynos 9820) depending on the region. For memory management, S10 Plus has up to 1TB of internal storage with 12GB of RAM, whereas P30 Pro has 512 GB internal storage with 8GB of RAM and iPhone XS Max has 512GB internal storage with 4GB of RAM. Only on the P30 Pro and S10 Plus storage can be expanded with external memory. Where S10 Plus can be expended up to 512GB with microSD card and P30 Pro up to 256GB with Nano-Memory.
Performance of any device can be based on the operating system used on the device. With Apple’s iPhone XS Mas is running on the iOS 12 which is optimized of the Apple device. And P30 Pro and S10 Plus are running on Android 9.0 Pie with company’s own EMUI 9.1 and One UI custom skin respectively on the top.
Like most of the manufacture, Huawei P30 Pro is running on custom skin on the top of the Android 9.0 Pei. With all the optimization on the EMUI 9.1, the performance on the P30 Pro is almost lag free and all other features on the make the device please to use.
Battery
To operate these power performers requires plenty of juice, will the big devices there is enough space to pack a bigger battery. The P30 Pro packs the massive 4200mAh battery, similarly S10 Plus packs 4100mAh battery but the iPhone XS Max only packs 3174mAh battery. All three devices support fast charging, where iPhone XS Max and S10 Plus support 15W charging, the P30 Pro supports super-fast 40W charging. Will glass back on all there devices, all of them are capable of charging wirelessly, the S10 Plus and P30 Pro can reverse wireless charge other devices. The Huawei was the first company to introduce reverse wireless charging.
Among the three devices, Huawei P30 Pro has the best battery feature. The P30 Pro packs the superfast 40W charging, which charges the phone faster than any of the other competitor. And the reverse charging is available on Galaxy S10 Plus, Huawei is the industry first to implement this technology on any device.
Verdict
With the modern device, every device is par to each other with the slightly upper hand in certain departments. Among, three devices P30 Pro have better camera and battery whereas S10 Plus takes over in display. iPhone is better at the performance and software with optimization of operating system and hardware smoother performance though having slightly lower hardware specifications’ than other two. At the end of the day, it’s all up to the customer’s preference.
Though what matter is value for the money. With all the features packed which are also available on other competitors, the price of the P3O pro makes is the best value for the phone. With the best camera on the industry and best value for the money, we definitely recommend P30 Pro as the best Premium Range device on the market.
