With a solid success on the sale of smartphones last year, Huawei plans to take over Apple in a couple of years. In 2016, Huawei sold over 10million units of Huawei P9 smartphone. Now, the company is about ready to reveal the next phone with the Honor branding, but in a bit of a surprise, it won’t be at the 2017 Mobile World Congress trade show in Barcelona, Spain. Actually, the Honor V9 will be announced in its home country on February 21, Huawei confirmed, via its Weibo account.
The Huawei Honor V9 will have a 5.7inch QHD display, with Android 7.0 Nougat installed. The Huawei honor V9 will also have Kirin 960 processor inside. The phone will have either 4GB or 6GB of RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of onboard storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card. We can expect more versions on the basis of storage and memory, yet to be confirmed. Actually, the trend of the dual camera is on the move, so we can expect the dual camera on the back with 12 megapixels along with another 2-megapixel camera. The V9 will also have an 8MP front-facing selfie camera. The TENAA listing shows a 3,900mAh battery for the phone.
Actually, the photo published by the company hints that the V9 will be waterproof as well. Some online rumors claim the Honor V9 pricing will start at 2699 Yuan, or about $394.
