As expected, the Huawei launched another flagship today, Huawei P30 Pro and P30. Because of all the leaks and rumors, the launch was not much interesting. Nevertheless, the device is out in the market, yet not available for purchase.
Talking about the device, it comes with 6.47-inch Full HD+, OLED capacitive touchscreen, and water drop notch display. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie, with EMUI 9.1 skinned on the top. The fingerprint scanner is placed under the display, which has become the standard for the flagships.
Inside, there is Huawei’s in-house processor, the Hisilicon Kirin 980 (7 nm) chipset with Octa-core CPU and Mali-G76 MP10. The processor is coupled with 8/6GB of RAM and 128/256/512GB of internal storage.
Huawei P30 Pro comes with quad-camera setup
Since the device is a camera-centric phone, it comes with an awesome camera. With the 40MP main camera, it comes with RYB color filter, instead of RGB, because the Yellow is better for low light shooting. Similarly, a 20MP ultra-wide-angle camera provides a perfect panoramic photo. An 8MP periscope zoom with 125mm focal length, it’s a champ in the optics department. Along with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) feature, make the video smooth and sharp. Further, it also packs a ToF camera, which can capture the multi-layer depth of effect providing more realistic bokeh photos. The Huawei also take the zoom level into the next level, with 5X optical zoom and 10X Hybrid zoom.
For selfies, there is a 32MP sensor, with improved bokeh processing but misses the 3D scanner used for facial recognition. Besides, the Huawei P30 Pro camera tops the DoX ranking, with 112 points. The Huawei also lead overall table, with thier 3 flaghsips on the top 3, followed by Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus on the fourth number.
To back up the internals, there is a 4200 mAh battery, with Huawei’s 40W Super Charge support. It also supports 15W wireless charging and reverses wireless charging also. It is also IP68 water and dust resistant.
Huawei P30
Now, talking about the Huawei P30, it is quite similar to the Pro, with some major differences. First, it has a 6.1-inch screen with almost the same specifications and features. Further, it also adds more bezels on sides.
Inside, the CPU, GPU, and RAM are exactly the same as of the Pro version. However, 64GB internal storage variant is also available. There is a quite difference in the optics department. Even though it has almost similar sensors, they are a lot different. Like, the primary camera is 40MP but the aperture is different, there is no periscope lens or the ToF camera. The front camera is also exactly the same.
To back up the internals, there is 3650mAh battery, with 22.5W Fast charging support but no wireless charging.
Other features like, sensors and connectivity are exactly the same in both devices. Sensors include Fingerprint (under display), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, color spectrum and connectivity includes, WLAN, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and NFC. The pro version has infrared port too.
Both devices will be available in Aurora, Amber Sunrise, Breathing Crystal, Black, Pearl White color options.
