Google’s Pixel and Pixel XL are now finally official.

Finally, the legacy has been broken by Google. It’s officially Pixel, not Nexus. Last night Google launched its Nexus successor Pixel in the launch event. It has the glass-aluminum body with smooth surfaces and easy to grip curved edges.  The fingerprint scanning security is on trend and the Google also included a fingerprint scanner on the back of the phone.

Pixel is the first Google phone with Google Assistant built in. Now, you can manage everyday tasks, find your photo and videos faster and many more features with Google Assistant.

Talking about the camera, it has 12.3 MP rear facing the camera with large 1.55-micron pixels and a f/2.0 aperture. It has the shortest capture time on any mobile camera ever, claims Google. However, there is no stabilization for photos. However, with a best-ever 89DxOMark Mobile score, Pixel’s camera lets you take brilliant photos in low light, bright light or any light.

Now, you don’t have to worry about the storage problem with Google’s unlimited storage for all your photos and videos. Even 4K video shot could be stored, which is much like Google photos but without size limit and compression.

Google also claims that the battery backup will last all day over. Only 15 minutes of charge could give backup for 7 hours.

Google Pixel is VR ready phones. This is the first Daydream- compatible phone and Daydream View is a VR headset and controller announced by Google last night.

The phone comes in three different colors and sizes. You can choose 5” or 5.5” and Quite Black, Very Silver, or Really Blue colors too. The price starts from $649 (roughly around NRs. 80,000 ).

You can pre-order  right now from Google Pixel site. The Pixel will be available probably from October 20, 2016. Here in Nepal, we have to wait for some time to get hands on the new phones.
