After series of beta version, Google finally releases latest version of Android 7.0 Nougat, its sweetest release yet.  Android Nougat brings with it a host of new features including new emojis, multi-window view, support for Daydream, Doze on the go and more. Google has confirmed Nexus smartphone will receive an OTA (over the air) update over the next couple of weeks for Android Nougat. Also, devices running on beta test version of the Android N will also get the final build.

Google will roll out the support for its new Android version for a couple of devices, but the list doesn’t include Nexus 5 and 2013 Nexus 7 Tablet, which was expected. Here’s a list of all the Nexus devises, which will receive update for Android Nougat: Nexus 6, Nexus 5x, Nexus 6p, Nexus 9, Nexus Player, Pixel C, General Mobile 4G (Android One).

Also, Google has confirmed that LG V20, which will launch on September 6, will be the first official smartphone running Android Nougat. “The New LG V20: The first new smartphone that comes with Android Nougat, right out of the box. Coming soon,” says Android blog post.

HTC had confirmed that HTC 10, HTC One A9 and HTC One M9 will get Android Nougat update back in July. The Taiwanese company had confirmed the release in a tweet.

According to reports, Samsung is planning to introduce Galaxy Note 7 variant with 128GB storage in China that will run Android Nougat straight out of the box. A report on SamMobile says Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge, and Galaxy Note 5 could get Android 7.0 Nougat update soon. But the new S7 series will get the update first in all likelihood.

HTC 10, HTC One A9, HTC One M9 and Sony Xperia Z3 are also expected to get an update, though the exact date is not clear. Sony Xperia Z3 was the first non-Nexus device to get on the developer build, so it should get the final build soon.

Also, HTC is working on the next Nexus smartphones, which are code named Sailfish and Marlin. These smartphones will launch with Android 7.0 Nougat build running on them. The Motorola phones are also expected to get Android 7 update, though the final dates for this roll out have not been confirmed.
