As the Nokia already announced that they will launch new Android phone next year, under the Nokia brand. The Finnish company called HMD Global will sell it, which will have an exclusive global license for the Nokia brand for the next ten years. The FIH Mobile, a subsidiary company of Foxconn will manufacture the phone for Nokia.
And now there is news in the internet that the Nokia is partnering up with Google.
Really??? Google and Nokia partnering up???
According to its press release, “HMD has a significant global foothold including Americas, Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa, India and China from day one.”
Brad Rodrigues, Interim President of Nokia Technologies, said:
“We’ve been overwhelmed by the enthusiasm shown around the world for the return of the Nokia brand to smartphones. The HMD Global team has the ambition, talent and resources to bring a new generation of Nokia branded phones to market, and we wish them every success. I’m sure our millions of Nokia fans will be excited to see their new products!”
Actually, collaborating with Google is bit odd, isn’t it? The agreement between these two companies is kept secret, we cannot clearly say how close the relationship is.
Nevertheless, Google is one of the dominant tech company in the world. It would impact positively to the Finnish Company.
It will be interesting to see how this partnership will end. Though, the question arises, what actually Google is doing with Nokia? Will it be a threat to the Apple? Will Symbian OS return? Well, the time will answer the questions. For right now, grab a cup of coffee, relax and enjoy.
