Daraz, one of the leading e-commerce website is up to change, a drastic change. After being acquired by the e-commerce giant Alibaba, the company is up for a drastic change. The company organized first ever Daraz Seller Summit, at Hotel Yak & Yeti, yesterday, where they released any information and statistics.
According to the company, they aim to increase the average monthly user to 2.5million by the year 2022. Currently, they have been focusing on the Mobile App and Desktop version, which is also going to get lots of changes. On 29 September, the company is going to launch the new app and redesigned website, where the new AI system will be integrated, benefiting both users and the sellers.
Daraz Seller Summit: new UI, app and lots of offers coming soon.
So, to acquire such customer based, they have planned to make a huge investment in infrastructure, logistics, warehouses, etc. Such facilities will enable them to properly channelize the flow of traffic from seller to the buyer. Besides, the company will also launch their own delivery system, called Daraz Express (DEX), ensuring convenient and faster deliveries.
As I already mentioned that the company will use AI on their system, now the seller will be sorted on the basis of feedback from the customers. Now, the good seller will be ranked higher and will get better visuals on the Daraz Website and the Application, meaning if you are a good seller your products will be shown at first. All this task will be done with the help of AI.
Further, the company also tied up with Nabil Bank for financial support. That means the sellers will get SMI loan, with minimal paperwork.
Some customer still prefers to shop in offline stores. So, Daraz will also provide QR codes at the vendor shops, as well.
Daraz has been offering special discounts and offers on the special occasion, like Dashain, Black Friday, etc. On those offers, the company also added the Single Day offer, i.e. 11.11. That means, every year on the 11th of November, there will be a huge discount, bigger than Black Friday.
