A few weeks ago, the HMD Global unveiled the upcoming Android-powered Nokia 8 at an event in London. It is the only true Nokia Flagship ever produced for Android platform. The Nokia 8 carries the price tag of 600 Euro, which is roughly around Rs. 72, 000 only. However, it’s not available in Nepal right now.

Don’t lose hope. In fact, we have a good news, its one step closer means it’s going to be launched in India on September 26.  The company has started to send media invites for an event in New Delhi, says the Indian tech Medias.

The media invite reads

“There are two sides to every story. Don’t miss out on yours. Join us for unveiling the next milestone of Nokia Phones”

However, the invites don’t mention the Nokia 8. Still, we can assume that the company is bringing its latest phone in India.

So, we also expect it will be soon available in Nepal. Actually, the pricing has also been quite reasonable. Unlike other company, they price the Nokia in a very fair way.

It has the 5.3-inch display with a resolution of 1440 X 2560 pixels at a PPI of 554 pixels per inch. It measures 151.50 x 73.70 x 7.90 (height x width x thickness) and weigh 160.00 grams. Powering the device is 1.8 GHz Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processed coupled with 4 GB of RAM. Inside the device, it packs 64GB internal storage with the explanation capacity of 256 GB via a microSD card.

With the partnership Zeiss, the Nokia has a dual 13-megapixel camera on the rear and a 13-megapixel front shooter for the selfie. Nokia 8 is running on latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Powering the inside is a 3090mAh non-removable battery.

The phone packs an interesting feature called bothie feature. The feature allows users to snap photos or record video using footage from both the front and rear cameras, split down the middle 50/50. Whether shooting in this mode or recording regular video, the footage can then be streamed directly to Facebook Live or YouTube natively from the camera app.

Alongside with camera, the microphone is also great, thanks to the use of Ozo Audio. Basically, the phone uses multiple microphones to capture high dynamic range and record binaural audio.

The Nokia 8 is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, USB OTG, 3G and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone include Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Gyroscope, and Barometer.
